Mowing The Lawn
Today is Saturday. Saturday is a day for doing things you didn’t have time or energy for during the work week. So I’ve been doing those things… a new tire on my scooter, an (unsuccessful) trip to the bank(s), and mowing my lawn.
Domesticity and adulthood. Whaddup.
A car drove by when I was out mowing earlier, and it made me flashback to the days when I mowed my parents yard....

it just adds a certain weight to your sentence that no other word can do.

btw, a “passive listen” is listening while you’re doing something else (i.e. working, reading, etc.). you’re not giving all of your attention to just the music.
